Custom Domain Integration

Add a custom domain name to your e-commerce store to establish a professional brand presence.

Domain Name: Typically costs between KSh 1,500 and KSh 3,500 per year, depending on the domain extension (.co.ke, .com, etc.).
Hosting: SokoWise hosts your e-commerce store on a reliable and secure servers for FREE.

To use a custom domain with your SokoWise e-commerce store, follow these steps to configure it correctly.

Step 1: Purchase a Domain

Ensure you've purchased a custom domain from a domain registrar like GoDaddy or Namecheap.

We recommend you let SokoWise purchase and manage your domain for you.

Step 2: Access DNS Settings

Log in to your domain registrar’s control panel and locate the DNS settings (often under "DNS Management" or "Zone Editor").

Step 3: Add an A Record

Create an A Record to point your domain to SokoWise’s IP address.

Type: A
Name/Host: Your domain/subdomain (e.g., www or yourdomain.com)
Value/Points to: 185.230.64.81
TTL: Default (usually 1 hour)

Step 4: Save DNS Changes

Save the DNS settings and allow for propagation (which may take up to 48 hours but often resolves sooner).

Step 5: Verify on SokoWise

Log in to your SokoWise dashboard, go to the domain settings, and add your custom domain for verification.

Pay the custom domain integration fee.

After your payment for integration is successful, SokoWise will verify your domain and notify you via email.

Step 6: Test Your Domain

Once DNS propagation is complete and verified, test your custom domain in a browser to ensure proper redirection to your SokoWise e-commerce store.

Your custom domain is now successfully connected to SokoWise!
