Set up M-PESA collections and payouts

SokoWise lists M-PESA collection and payout services separately. Select the service that matches the workflow you need. Provider fields and verification steps are shown in the SokoWise form.

Prepare your provider account

Use a Safaricom Daraja account and credentials authorized for your business and the service you are configuring. If you need a provider account or production access, follow the current guidance in the Safaricom Daraja portal.

Connect the service

1. Open Business → Integrations for business collections or payouts, or Online Store → Integrations for storefront checkout.
2. Find the M-PESA service you need and open its setup form.
3. Enter the requested values from your provider account and save.
4. Follow the verification or test instructions shown.
5. Confirm the status in the integration list before using the service with customers.

For POS M-PESA prompts, the payment method, POS prompt setting, phone number, and verified Business M-PESA integration must all be available. Storefront checkout uses its own integration scope. Provider tests may initiate an actual provider-side payment or payout, so check the instructions and destination before testing.

Never share an API secret, M-PESA PIN, password, or verification code in a support message.
