Products and stock

Check stock and record an adjustment

Review current inventory and record damaged, missing, or expired stock.

Open Inventory → Overview to review current stock and the reports available to your business. The inventory movement list records stock changes created by sales, purchases, returns, cancellations, and manual adjustments.

Record a stock adjustment

Use an adjustment only for stock that is damaged, missing, or expired. Sales and purchase receipts should be recorded from their own screens so SokoWise can preserve the correct history.

  1. Open Inventory → Stock Adjustments and choose New adjustment.
  2. Select the product and, when requested, its variant or option value.
  3. Choose the reason: damaged, missing, or expired.
  4. Enter the quantity and any note requested by the form.
  5. Review the quantity and save the adjustment.

Adjustments are saved as permanent inventory records. To correct a mistake, record a new adjustment that reflects the correction; do not try to edit the old movement. The app will reject a quantity that exceeds available stock.

Understand current stock

Pending sales can reserve stock before they are complete. Inventory reports focus on confirmed movements, while the movement list can also show pending reservations. If a number looks unexpected, review the product's sales, purchases, and adjustment history before entering another change.
