Your product catalog is used by the point of sale, invoices, quotes, inventory, and online store. Add a product before you use it in a sale or storefront.
Add a product
- Open Inventory → Products and choose Add product.
- Enter the product name, type, and category.
- Add a price or create priced variants, depending on the product type.
- Add options such as size or colour when customers need to choose between product configurations.
- Add a description, taxes, and images where useful.
- Save the product and open it to confirm the details.
Variants represent separately priced versions of a product. Options describe choices a customer makes; an option can have values and optional additional prices. Add or edit those entries from the product's Variants or Options actions.
Add a digital product
Choose the digital product type and upload the file requested by the form. Complete the fields shown for that product type and save. When a customer buys it through your online store, the order page provides the purchased download when available. Use a file customers are allowed to download and keep a backup of the original.
Update a product later
Open the product from the catalog to change its description, price, taxes, images, variants, options, or settings. Changing a catalog price affects future sales; it does not rewrite a price already recorded on a completed sale.
