Request and connect a custom SMS sender ID

Ask about current sender ID requirements, then add the approved details to an SMS integration.

A sender ID is the name customers see on a text message from your business. Network requirements, supported names, documents, and charges can change, so confirm the current application process with SokoWise before preparing a request.

Request approval

  1. Contact SokoWise support and ask for the current sender ID requirements for your business and intended network.
  2. Choose a sender name that follows the guidance provided.
  3. Submit only the documents and message examples requested through the support channel given to you.
  4. Wait for approval before using the sender name with customers.

Transactional sender IDs are for service messages such as receipts or payment updates. Keep promotional messages within the purpose approved for the sender and follow customer consent requirements.

Connect an approved sender

Open Business → Integrations for business messages or Online Store → Integrations for storefront messages. Choose the available SMS provider and enter the approved sender information in the fields shown. Save it and follow the verification or test instructions for that provider.

A sender ID does not guarantee delivery to every number. Do not include passwords, verification codes, or payment secrets in SMS content.
